Topsoil

Topsoil is the top layer of soil on the Earth's crust. Here in New England, It has been formed over many years by the natural accumulation of organic material and plowing, if the area was farmed. he value is in topsoil being a growing medium with good water retention, texture, pH and the ability to supply nutrients to the plants growing in it.  

Asphalt Millings 

For both residential and commercial clients performing construction projects, whether installing a new driveway or roadway, we here at Earthmovers serving North Canaan recommend the use of our recycled asphalt pavement which comes in the form of quality asphalt millings.  Our asphalt millings are not only sustainable but also eliminate the need for refinishing, resurfacing or replacing. We provide asphalt milling materials on an as-needed basis so as to meet the scheduling needs of our clients. However, we ask that you please contact our facility in advance to ensure that the asphalt millings you need are readily available.   

Crushed Stone

Earth Movers is the region’s premier provider of crushed stone. In addition to providing a solid foundation for homes, roads, bridges, schools, and other major construction projects, crushed stone is also a raw material for concrete, asphalt, bricks, and other construction materials.

We offer the following crushed stone sizes: 

• 3” Crushed Stone ($17.00 per ton) 
• 1 ¼” Crushed Stone ($18.00 per ton) 
• 3/4 “ Crushed Stone ($19.00 per ton) 
• Wall Stone ($65.00 per ton, please call for availability) 

Fill Sand

Earth Movers can offer you with both screened or regular fill sand at our recycling facility located in Danbury. San screening can be simple,  quick, and cost-efficient. You can easily separate granular soil from sand. This is a great way to stabilize surfaces and fill landscapes.

Types of fill sand we offer:

• Fill ($5.50 per CY) 
• Screened Fill ($5.00 per ton) 
• Bedding Sand ($12.50 per ton) 

Material Dumping Serving  North Canaan

For quality material dumping services, our North Canaan clients and those across greater Connecticut can always rely upon the team here at Earthmovers, Inc.  Our state of the art dumping facility in Danbury is ideal for all your recycling of construction materials and every bit convenient to all our Newtown clients.  From recycling of clean rock, stone, and gravel, to concrete block, or asphalt, we are the team and facility for you. Clients must first fill out a certificate of conformity and our team will handle the rest. 

All materials will be charged a flat rate of $6.50 per cubic yard. If you require a large amount of recycling, we can also provide you with:

• Dump Trailer (18 CY - $117.00)
• Triaxle (15 CY - $97.50) 
• Dump Truck 6 Wheeled (10 CY - $65.00)
• Small Dump Truck (2 CY - $13.00)
